Anita Blender brings clients significant real estate expertise leading major residential real estate projects throughout the nation. With more than 18 years of professional real estate experience in multi-family residential management, marketing and sales, her analytical, engaging, and results-driven approach brings clients their desired outcome.

Directed New Multi-Family Residential Projects
During her extensive career, Blender’s experience in launching new multi-family residential projects has included:

  • Woodbridge Estates in Detroit, Michigan (www.woodbridgeestates.com), one of the first Hope VI Community Revitalization Programs. As director of marketing and leasing, Blender managed the lease-up of 700 subsidized, tax credit and conventional rental homes.  Hope VI is a partnership between private and public entities creating a community of a mixed use, mixed income housing.  Its master plan blends single family homes, condominiums, apartments and senior living into one community, serving the subsidized and conventional urban housing market.

 

Orchestrated Turn-Around Initiatives
Blender directed turn-around projects for properties such as:

  • Caribbean Miami Beach located on Collins Ave. in Miami Beach, Florida.  Blender collaborated with an on-site management team to create and implement a turnaround plan, which repositioned this condominium development to meet changing market conditions. Her turnaround actions included implementing a new pricing structure, re-negotiating contracts with vendors, and selecting new brokerage and public relations teams. Working with a talented team, Blender created and opened an outstanding sales center and developed a distinguished model. As part of the process, she realized a net savings of over 30% for the company. In addition, Blender navigated the shifting credit markets, working with several financial institutions, assisting buyers in securing mortgages.

 

Implements Sales and Marketing Programs
Blender creates and implements numerous sales and marketing programs for clients with pre-determined benchmarks, resulting in increased sales. Her services include:

  • Hiring and training sales and leasing associates

Manages Marketing of New Developments

  • Bluerock Real Estate (www.bluerockre.com) in Manhattan, NY, a national investment company. As vice president of sales and marketing, Blender launched The Charles by David Collins, a $175 million dollar luxury multi-family development on the Upper East Side of Manhattan (www.thecharlesny.com). Specifically, she developed, managed and monitored a $5.7 million dollar marketing budget, and oversaw product development, positioning and branding.  She created an exceptional sales gallery, developed a marketing and sales program which included web site design, print advertising, direct mail and notable marketing events. She also managed an impressive team of real estate professionals, including a distinguished Manhattan real estate broker, creative agency, public relations company and event planning firm.

 

           
Education, Leadership and Professional Certifications/Licenses
Anita Blender graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelors of Science degree and continued on to complete a Masters of Science degree in Management from Walsh College. She served as Chairperson for the Builder’s Association of Southeastern Michigan – Sales and Marketing Council, is a Certified Sales Professional (NAHB), and holds a Michigan Real Estate Sales License.
